Looking for a Licensed Family Child Care Provider? We can help! We have been helping parents find quality Licensed Family Child Care for over 28 years.

To find a Licensed Family Child Care Provider near your home or work simply enter the zip code or zip codes (separated by a comma ",") for the areas that you are looking for child care. You will be given the name and phone number of the San Diego County Family Child Care Association Referral Representative that works with the providers in that area. She will work with you to help you find the Licensed Family Child Care Provider that will best meet your family's needs.

The San Diego County Family Child Care Association does not endorse or recommend any child care providers and we highly recommend that you interview several Family Child Care Providers before selecting the one that is right for your family.

The following are some questions you may want to ask during your interview process:

• Ask to see the Provider's License, CPR and First Aid cards. Does the Provider have any other certificates or awards that might be important?
• What training, education and experience does the Provider have? Does the Provider participate in continuing education? If so, what kind?
• What method of guidance or discipline does the Provider use?
• What is an average day like for the children?
• Ask for a list of families (past and present) that you can contact for recommendations.
• Most of all, observe the environment and the children in care.
